I’ve been getting quite a few questions as time goes on, so I thought it might help if I posted some of them up here. If your question isn’t covered here, feel free to get in touch.
Shipping and Delivery
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, I ship anywhere UPS and USPS will go, which covers almost every country in the world! USPS Priority Mail International is the most popular option. USPS Priority Mail International costs about $40-60 for a 1 lb (0.5 kg) package and takes about 1-2 weeks (a little less for Canada and Mexico). Other international shipping options may be quicker, but will cost more as well (see next question).
What shipping options do I have?
I use USPS and UPS. Most people use USPS because it’s cheaper and pretty quick in most cases. Delivery times are given from when the package is shipped, not when the order is placed.
USPS First Class Mail – cheapest option for packages up to 13 oz. Takes 2-5 business days.
USPS Priority Mail – cheap and fast. 2-3 business days.
USPS Express Mail – a cost effective solution if you’re in a hurry. Overnight, arrives by 12 PM.
UPS Ground – cheapest UPS option. Takes 1 business day if you’re in New England, 2-7 business days everywhere else.
UPS 2nd Day Air – price varies depending on package weight and your location. 2 business days.
UPS Next Day Air – expensive, but dependable option for overnight service. Overnight, arrives by 10:30 AM.
Every once in a while, packages get stuck in customs in the receiving country, but it’s not something I can predict, and not included in the expected delivery times below.
USPS Priority Mail International – about $40-60 (for a 1 lb/0.5 kg package), 1-2 weeks. Price varies with weight and location.
USPS Express Mail International – about $50-70 (for a 1 lb/0.5 kg package), 1 week. Price varies with weight and location.
UPS Worldwide Expedited – price varies depending on package weight and your location. 2-5 business days.
UPS Worldwide Express – price varies depending on package weight and your location. 1-3 business days.
How long does it take for something to ship?
Most items are in stock, and will ship within 24-48 hours. If for some reason it’s going to take a few days for your package to ship, I’ll send you an email to let you know about it.
Do you have [insert product here] in stock?
I do my best to keep the website up to date in terms of stock levels, but if there’s a critical part that you need to know about, please email email@example.com.
Where is my order?
If you’ve received an order confirmation but did not receive a second email regarding a delay, most likely your package has shipped and is en route to you. However, if it’s been more than 1 week for domestic shipments or 2 weeks for
international shipments, or if you just want to check on the status, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, order number, and order date.
I’m in a real hurry. Can you expedite my order?

If something I purchased is on backorder, could I have everything else shipped first?
Sure. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, order number, and order date, and let him know which shipping method you want for the additional shipment, and how you’d like to pay for it.
Ordering and Checkout
Do you accept Purchase Orders?
I usually receive Purchase Orders from universities, companies, and government agencies. Please email your purchase order to email@example.com, and include preferred shipping and payment methods, as well as any lead time requirements.
If there is anything I need to sort out with your Accounting or Purchasing Department (W-9 forms, vendor requirements), please indicate that as well.
My department needs a formal quote/copy of the invoice. How can I get one?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the items requested, quantities, and shipping method to get a pro-forma invoice.
How can I pay?
The retail storefront is set up to accept Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. For purchase orders and offline payments, check or bank transfer are acceptable, in addition to Paypal and credit cards listed above.
Can I order by phone or email?
The fastest way to process your order is through the shop and checkout page online, and the system is set up to get your stuff out the door as quickly as possible. The checkout system is GeoTrust SSL Certified and Paypal Verified, and all information transmitted is secure.

The checkout page is giving me errors. What should I do?
