Liquidware Labs™ Revenues Surge in Q2, H1 2013 Breaking All Previous Records for Growth

The leader in desktop transformation software confidently pursues a winning desktop virtualization approach of right products, right features and right price that continues to gain widespread customer acceptance.

ALPHARETTA, GA & CHICAGO, IL, July 17, 2013 - Liquidware Labs, the leader in desktop transformation solutions, today announced that  new license revenues in Q2 surged by 101 percent over last year at this time, representing the largest gain in customers and licenses ever in the history of the company.

This increase was marked by a number of significant leading indicators of the overall fiscal health of the company including:

  • North American Commercial Sector Revenues rose by 136%
  • Sales of ProfileUnity stand-alone were up by 142% and represented the single largest revenue-generating product from Liquidware Labs
  • Sales of Stratusphere UX were up by 175%
  • Negotiation of a major OEM agreement in Japan with a desktop and mobile computing management company

In addition, Liquidware Labs experienced both its highest number of transactions in a single period with the average amount per transaction up by roughly 250% for H1 2013 over the first half of 2012.

"We are extremely pleased to announce our strong growth for Q2 and the overall first half of 2013,” said Chris Akerberg, President and COO of Liquidware Labs. "This major jump represents the fruition of our product development efforts and the progress of our overall desktop virtualization strategy, which we have been honing since 2009.  Organizations around the world appreciate the value of our solutions, which significantly improve manageability of both physical and virtual desktop architectures.”

These substantial revenue gains came in the same period when Liquidware Labs achieved outside recognition for innovative approaches to classic desktop IT challenges.   Early in 2013, the company was recognized by VMware® and received its Technology Innovator Partner of the Year award.  Following this accolade, Liquidware Labs was also named to CRN’s 2013 Virtualization 50 list. The annual listing highlights the companies with the most innovative virtualization solutions available today.

“It is rewarding to be acknowledged by industry leaders and others who follow our market,” said Akerberg.  “We’re also seeing so many of our early ‘pilot’ customers starting to deploy our solutions in production enterprise-wide.  This growth is not only validation of our approach and a great testament to our solutions, but also is a strong sign of maturity in the market.   We have had a continual uptick in new partnering requests to represent and train on our products and methodologies.  Awareness is off the charts, and the demand for Liquidware Labs has never been stronger."

The company’s record gains reflect a growing demand for its solutions suite which introduced highly sophisticated features in early 2013.

Liquidware Labs ProfileUnity™ offers a redesigned management console along with highly innovative features such as user and department installed applications with privilege management.  As a result, the solution is quickly gaining acceptance as the Desktop User Management solution of choice across a wide spectrum of customers.  The solution is also quickly becoming the automated migrations solution of choice for enterprise customers who need to move hundreds of users off of Windows XP desktops.  See xpocalypse2014 for more information.

Liquidware Labs unique desktop monitoring solution, Stratusphere™ UX also boasts new features including:

  • An updated and more open user interface for the Preview Inspectors with tabbed layout, that allows customers to customize data organization based on their frequent use needs.
  • New tabs for PCoIP metrics, Hosts, and Storage Inspectors
  • Stratusphere Hub, Database, and CID Keys now support IPv6 environments. Support for IPv6 based policies within Stratusphere Network Station will be added soon.
  • Stratusphere CID Keys now support Microsoft Windows 2012 Server with Remote Desktop Services.
  • More than 600 STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) have been integrated into the solution for a much more hardened, robust and secure virtual appliance.

Significant feature enhancements are still planned across all products to be rolled out during 2013.  These developments will be showcased at Booth #2536 at VMworld U.S. this year, Aug. 25 to 29 in San Francisco.

"The continual improvement and growth of Liquidware Labs confirms we are pursuing the correct product development roadmap and integration strategy,” said Akerberg.  “Our agenda is to help customers get the most out of their current investments in VMware, Citrix and Microsoft solutions in an affordable, simple installation of our products.  It’s clear that this strategy is strongly resonating with all types of organizations who are looking to realize big performance and management gains with a reasonable investment."
