Company’s solutions are increasingly demanded by diverse organizations across EMEA to solve End-User Computing challenges
BARCELONA, Spain, Oct. 13, 2014 - Liquidware Labs, the leader in desktop transformation software solutions, today announced that it will be demonstrating its innovative products at Booth 141 at VMworld® 2014 Europe in Barcelona, Spain, October 13th to 16th.
Global adopters of VMware Horizon® are quickly discovering the value of incorporating Liquidware Labs’ comprehensive suite of solutions, including Stratusphere FIT, Stratusphere UX, ProfileUnity with FlexApp and Flex-IO, in their initiatives. The company’s EMEA customers continue to laud the importance of the solutions in overcoming the challenges when moving to next-generation desktops.
“What has made ProfileUnity so effective for our needs is the level of granularity it provides… the issues we had with our logon process are a thing of the past.”
- Ruwan de Silva, IT Project Manager, Royal College of Physicians
“It [Stratusphere UX] usually shows me that all our virtual desktops are performing in the upper-right quadrant, which is the best...It has enabled us to be very proactive. If we see an issue, we can either fix it or send the user an e-mail with suggestions for getting better performance out of their desktops.”
- Steve King, Infrastructure Manager, AkzoNobel’s M&PC Business Unit
“ProfileUnity has already moved us from the limitations of roaming profiles and helped us make the transition to Windows 7.”
- Henk Weisbeek, Desktop Transformation Project Manager, Hanze University of Applied Sciences
“ProfileUnity does just what I need it to do – it enables a consistent user environment, and troubleshooting profiles is much quicker.”
- Jimmy Parker, Development Office Lead, Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust
“The portability that ProfileUnity enables...as well as comprehensive migration support — has enabled us to deploy the kind of next-generation desktop environment that was needed to bring our organization forward.”
- Simon Gregory Principal Infrastructure Analyst, National House Building Council
"The mobile-cloud era has brought great change in apps, data, devices, and how end-users consume them," said Kit Colbert, CTO, End-User Computing at VMware. "Liquidware Labs solutions paired with VMware Horizon® provides our mutual customers with simple and efficient solutions to support their end-users."
New Liquidware Labs product features to be shown at Booth 141 include:
Stratusphere UX Desktop Diagnostics and Monitoring
Liquidware Labs will be demonstrating significant new features in its comprehensive monitoring, performance validation and diagnostics solution, Stratusphere UX. The solution now offers additional inspection capabilities for display protocol metrics, such as PCoIP, ICA and RDP, as well as updated dashboard capabilities in the advanced overview tabs. Stratusphere UX now also provides browser-tab level visibility for Google Chrome performance and resource consumption. For customers looking to extend the power and flexibility of user-experience data, Stratusphere UX now offers a powerful API that can flow metrics and information into other operational and systems platforms as well as provide ad hoc reporting capabilities.
Flex-IO Storage Acceleration
Flex-IO, IOPS Acceleration software for stateless VDI environments, has also been updated. Flex-IO now boasts enhanced performance under full VDI pool workload that is proven to gain superior results in overall read and write IOPS as well as decreased latency.
ProfileUnity Desktop User Profile and Environment Management
The latest release of ProfileUnity, the company’s popular User Profile and User Environment Management solution features new Application Rights Management, which enables administrators to allow or deny applications from being executed, delivered, or installed on select users’ Windows physical or virtual desktops and laptops. In-session policy and profile changes and saves are also now possible with the new Triggers feature. Organizations will also find their familiar classic Start Menu option for Windows 8.x, something that the market has been requesting.
“Desktop virtualization technologies are advancing at a rapid pace and so is the adoption rate among users across Europe,” said Chris Akerberg, president and COO of Liquidware Labs. “Today our customer roster in EMEA includes such names as Bank of England, King Faisal Specialist Hospital, Maersk Oil, the British Red Cross, Saudi Telecom, and many more. These organizations demand the best technology solutions, and the fact that they have chosen Liquidware Labs’ offerings provides testimony to the quality of our solutions for VMware Horizon End User Computing environments.”
