Current Transformer

Want to measure current without breaking the wire? Then you need this… a current transformer. This device outputs a signal that’s proportional to the amount of current flowing through the wire. Simply use your favorite microcontroller’s A/D pin to measure magnitude.

Tip: Get more output gain by looping the wire more times around.

Can be used on AC too, up to a whopping 75 amps of current!
