About this Document:

Having offices across the U.S., millions of account holders, and hundreds of billions of assets under management not only qualifies this company as a leading financial services provider, but it also makes the company a top target for professional hackers, which prize the type of data they can steal from financial services firms. This financial services firm monitored its desktop security settings and status by using agents to pull data from ServiceNow, Splunk and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM, now called Endpoint Configuration Manager) and report it through Tableau. The collected data was only about 60% accurate and was always at least a day old. The gap between what was reported, and the actual real-time status of any desktop would be more than enough time for a hacker to do significant damage. The financial services firm wanted to eliminate this vulnerability by achieving near real-time visibility.
